Privacy
Last updated . Short version: we keep what we need to run your account, your resume PDFs are made on your device, and we never sell your data.
What we store
- Your account: name and email from Google sign-in or the email link.
- Your resumes: the text you type, saved so you can edit from any device. PDFs are generated in your browser, and a copy of every PDF you download is saved privately to your account so you keep a version history.
- Resume score tool: files you upload to the resume score tool are saved privately to your account, with the result summary (score, best-fit field, experience level and page count).
- Who can see your files: stored files are private to you. The Upladder team can open them only to help with support or check abuse. Delete any file from My files.
- Activity: when you download a resume or click “Apply”, we record the event (no file contents) to understand what’s useful.
Third-party services
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in.
- Google Analytics measures page visits with cookies.
- Tawk.to powers the chat widget. Messages you send there are stored by Tawk.to.
- Google AdSense may show ads on public job, company and blog pages. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. We never show ads in the resume builder.
- On-device AI (optional): the AI writing help runs in your browser, using Chrome's built-in model or a free open model your browser downloads once from Hugging Face after you agree. Your resume and job posts are not sent to any AI service. We only count when AI is turned on or a suggestion is used, never the text.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads on public reading pages (jobs, company pages, guides and resume examples). Ads are never shown in the resume builder, the resume tools or your account.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google's advertising cookies let Google and its partners serve ads based on your visits to Upladder and other sites. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google's certified consent message.
